Even today I remember the first press conference that Neopublic hosted. It was on 13th of December 2000 in Bratislava on behalf of HP. As early as then we were already introducing a new revolutionary laptop. As a junior PR manager and the only employee of the agency, I was responsible for everything, from writing press releases to inviting media to media analysis and evaluation.
After more than 10 years, I can say that the nature of the work of PR manager has not changed that much. It is crucial to be exceptionally versatile, well-informed and accountable. What has changed is the very industry in which we operate. Communication, which is still at the core of good relations with the public, now features a much wider range of channels and tools for sharing information.
Many people think of PR as a way to share information with journalists; however, that is just a fraction of our work. We dedicate a tremendous amount of time to creating attractive, interesting and sharable content, which can have huge impact on brands and reputation. Those organizations that understand that brands are now also serving as publishers will be able to win in a long run.
What defines us?
- Innovation in communications. We were among the first to use blogs, social networks and other emerging technologies to help share information.
- Strategic Planning. Our unique strategic communications planning approach helps us identify current behaviors and determine how we can change them.
- Fearlessness in counsel. We provide an objective view of our clients’ relationships with their stakeholders, and are not afraid to present our views, however surprising they may be.
- Measurable Results. Whether you want to know how many people your campaign will address, or what proportion of customers will advocate for your brand, we are ready to assume full responsibility for the results of the campaign.
I look forward to meeting you,
Štefan “Emsi” Vadocz
